Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)
AUAF’s Business Department offers programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Following the Baldrige model, the ACBSP focuses on recognizing teaching excellence, determining student learning outcomes, and continuous improvement. The student-centered teaching and learning approach, which is measured and analyzed for quality, ensures that students gain the right skills from their educational investment.
This internationally recognized accreditation makes transfer credit and articulation agreements with other ACBSP institutions easier for students.
AUAF is committed to continuously improving the business program to equip students with the skills employers want. These are our ACBSP Accredited programs and concentrations:
Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance
Bachelor of Business Administration in Management
Master of Business Administration
Bard College Associate in Arts
In partnership with Bard College and their global degree program, the American University for Afghanistan offers a dual associates degree program to eligible students. AUAF-enrolled undergraduate students whose academic performance meets Bard College’s admission standards are able to earn two degrees simultaneously: (1) An AUAF Associate Degree in their respective field of study and; (2) The Bard Global Associate in Liberal Arts degree.
The Associate in Arts Degree from Bard does not replace the AUAF bachelor's degree; Rather, it distinguishes a student as satisfying the academic standards of both AUAF, Afghanistan's leading private university, and Bard College, one of the leading institutions of the liberal arts and sciences in the United States. Participants gain an internationally recognized university credential from the Middle States Commission for Higher Education and benefit from access to additional learning opportunities with partnering universities around the globe.
