Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2008
Applications for AUAF’s undergraduate and foundation studies courses are now being accepted for the Summer Semester starting in June.
New admissions and financial assistance procedures introduced for the Spring 2008 semester are still in effect, making it faster and easier to enroll in the undergraduate or foundations studies programs. Click here for details.
Individuals wishing to apply should complete the application process as soon as possible, as the last available test date prior to the beginning of the semester is 20 May 2008.
AUAF offers three degree programs for students in the undergraduate program: business administration, information technology, and liberal arts (general studies). All degree programs require students to take a wide variety of courses in areas such as arts and sciences, in addition to courses relevant to their preferred major.
For undergraduate students, the summer semester will be split into two sessions of intensive, four-week courses. Session I will take place 1 June - 26 June 2008, while Session II is schedule for 6 July 2008 - 31 July 2008.
Courses offered this semester include academic writing, math, political science, social science research, and humanities. In addition, a special seminar, Modes of Dictatorship and Democracy, is scheduled for 29 June – 24 July 2008.
AUAF’s Foundation Studies Program prepares students for the challenging expectations of an English-language undergraduate course of studies, and also develops the high-level English language skills necessary to take on major employment positions in Afghanistan or abroad.
The beginning of the Spring 2008 semester saw over 170 new students enroll in AUAF’s main programs. Subsequent semesters are expected to see similar growth.
