AUAF Recruiters Return from Mazar-i-Sharif

AUAF recruiters returned from Mazar-i-Sharif this week, where they were speaking with potential students about the opportunities that an AUAF education can bring. During the trip, information about AUAF’s programs was distributed and potential students were assessed to see if they are eligible to be admitted into AUAF.

"Each recruiting trip is valuable. As well as identifying eligible students, they raise awareness about the University across Afghanistan," commented Ms. Rebecca Carter, Director of Admissions.  "The people who come to see AUAF recruiters understand that a degree from AUAF can help them build better futures."

The University is making an active effort to recruit students from all over Afghanistan. According to a recent survey, 43% of current AUAF students hail from Kabul, with other students coming from Nangarhar, Badakshan, Logar, Kandahar, and other provinces across the country.

When the University recruits outside of Kabul, it puts together a "mobile recruiting team" consisting of testing personnel, admissions personnel, and a representative from AUAF’s student finance office, who tells candidates if they qualify for financial aid. Together, the AUAF team is able to test candidates, evaluate their applications on the spot, and determine if they qualify for financial aid.

Interested candidates who were not able to see the AUAF recruiting team in Mazar-i-Sharif can apply at the University campus in Kabul for the spring semester beginning in January. Interested students are advised to start the application process early, as placement testing, application, and financial aid can take several weeks.
