Is the American University of Afghanistan open to media?
Representatives of the media are welcome to visit the American University of Afghanistan. Because the University operates under a number of security constraints, however, media must contact the Communications Department before their visit to arrange an escort.

Are there limits to what the media can report while inside the University?
Because the University is an open and transparent institution, the media are encouraged to report on whatever they find. The one exception, however, is reporting can affect the security of the University, its staff, and its students.

Where can media find information about events at the University?
When the University organizes large events, media advisories and press releases will be issued through the Communications Department of the University. For everyday happenings at the University, please see the News & Media page.
