IT Instructor (Holding valid certification/s in technologies is necessary)
The American University of Afghanistan is seeking applications for the position of IT Instructor
AUAF is a private, non-profit university, offering an American style liberal arts education. Apart from the traditional Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees we also provide a range of educational programs for non-traditional students and professionals.
The Professional Development Institute offers a broad range of training and education courses throughout Afghanistan to private business, non-profit agencies, NGOs, and governments. The Institute draws on the expertise of the world-class faculty at the American University of Afghanistan and others to provide courses custom tailored to specific needs as well as courses offered on an open enrollment basis. This expertise includes English language, business administration and management, public administration, and information technologies.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and draft the training curriculum according to the requirements of the trainings
2. Create online accounts for students and supervise online records of students
3. Prepare and submit the training work plans and reports to his/her supervisor
4. Maintain enrolment and attendance records of students
5. Maintain the computers and equipments in a good functional condition
6. Report any problem that reduces the quality of the program, in a timely manner
7. Prepare required tests and assessments according to the work plan
8. Prepare, organize, and manage the training materials for trainees
9. Monitor the progress of trainings and report on the strength and weaknesses of the program
10.Identify the students who has the ability to attend higher level trainings
11.Recommend further trainings for trainees who successfully pass the program
12.Coordinate and resolve issues related to the classrooms, trainees, and materials
13.Evaluate the trainees and the program itself during and at the end of the trainings
14.Avail his/her present in the coordination meetings
15.Any other related tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualification:
1) The applicant must hold valid certification in IT vendor technologies, preferably in Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Oracle, and Redhat.
2) Demonstrate experience in developing the training curriculums or adopting the curriculums recommended by IT Academies
3) Demonstrate experience in teaching method and in delivering the trainings
4) Has a flexible schedule and be able to work part time, over time, and in holidays if required
5) Must be polite with trainees all the time and consider the instructor’s code of conducts and professional values
