The American University of Afghanistan provides interested individuals the opportunity to gain work experience in a challenging but dynamic work environment through its internship program. The University is looking for talented and qualified individuals from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, who share an interest in higher education in Afghanistan.

What does AUAF offer?
Interns are provided with opportunities to learn from the University community and expand their knowledge of Afghanistan. Interns are fully integrated into the work of the University, often taking on workloads and responsibilities comparable to regular staff. They receive guidance from qualified and experienced senior staff and faculty in order to hone their professional competencies.

Eligibility
Interns have, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in a discipline related to their preferred area of work from an accredited university, and fluency in English. Interns have also accumulated related work or volunteer experience.

Durations of internships range from six months to one year, depending on the applicant’s availability.

Benefits
Transportation, housing, health insurance, and a per-diem are provided.
