All candidates seeking to enter the Foundations Study Program, Business English course, or the preparation course for the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) must take the English Proficiency Test.
The English Proficiency Test determines what level of English a candidate possesses. Results are used to place candidates in the appropriate course of English instruction. Placement in a course of English instruction is based on the total scores of the English Proficiency Test, which consists of:
- A 90-minute reading and listening test.
- A 30 minute essay test.
Students who can provide paper results from the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the internet-based TOEFL (iBT), or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are not required to take the English Proficiency Test. No other test results will be considered.
