Students who attend the American University of Afghanistan are expected to live in Kabul for the duration of their program of study. Living in proximity to the campus of the University means that students can attend classes, use facilities such as the library, and be in contact with other students, faculty, and staff.
The University can provide housing to eligible students for a nominal fee. Women’s housing is currently located in the National Women’s Dormitory located on the campus of Kabul University. Men’s housing will be in place starting in January 2008. Male students will be housed in a private residence within walking distance of the campus of the American University of Afghanistan.
Students who require housing are encouraged to apply for housing at the same time as they apply for admission to their desired program. For more information, please contact the Admissions Office.
